What is Six Sigma?

What is Six Sigma?

Six Sigma is a structured and data based approach to improvement of products and processes using team work.
Successful companies have used Six Sigma to save billions.

What will the participants learn?


In three training modules participants shall learn the Six Sigma philosophy and practical work in a project team. Emphasis is on:
•    Systematic problem solving and Process improvement
•    Usage of Sigma/Lean/TOC tools
•    Work in a project team
 

What is needed to gain the Interquality Green Belt certificate?

In order to qualify for the Six Sigma Green Belt certificate, the successful candidate must have at least 80 % attendance, pass the exam, and present a successful Six Sigma project.
 

Software

Throughout the whole program, participants shall have a license for a top ranking data analysis software STATISTICA. They may use this software on their laptop computers. Users of MINITAB or Statgraphics are encouraged to use their own software.
 

Projects support

Participants shall receive a project selection and definition package. Before the program starts they may consult project charters with the lecturer using telephone or mail. Further guidance and support is available during training and between the training modules.
 

Tools

Training participants shall utilize a tool set, carefully selected from statistics, Theory of Constraints, Lean and Queuing Theory. Graphical analysis of data and extensive usage of software is emphasized. Using our ten plus years of practice we have been able to select tools that are both practical and easy to understand.
 
 

Who is this program for?

This program is designed for members of Six Sigma project teams and managers of companies where Six Sigma is being implemented.

Training methods

There is a number of tools and concepts that a Six Sigma project team member should know. The learning process has to be very efficient and in line with adult learning specifics. All concepts, definitions or tools are explained, then illustrated in case studies and applied in individual or group assignments. Good teamwork and presentation skills are encouraged.
 

What does the price include?

Tuition, study materials, Six Sigma Pocket Handbook in Czech, top ranking data analysis software STATISTICA, individual guidance in Black Belt projects, certificate, in case of necessity sitting the final exam in a alternative term, lunches, coffee and refreshments.
